Living up to its name, Creadores Residencies are changing their format and becoming a real-life experience of working together and shared living.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

We are moving to the mountains to enjoy ten days of writing and concerns sharing.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Creadores 2026<\/b> is a ten-day residency that will take place at a hostel in the Sierra de Espad\u00e1n (Almed\u00edjar, Castell\u00f3n, Spain). Participating playwrights (a maximum of 12) will have time to write and develop their personal projects and will also have an individual workshop with Roland Schimmelpfennig. In addition, the program includes morning exercise sessions, walks and activities in nature, reading sessions of texts, and evening gatherings where participants could (voluntarily) share their work progress and have feedback.<\/div>\n

This year, we are highlighting playwrights, fostering a peer-to-peer environment where they can write together.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
During the residency, participating playwrights will develop their own text, which may involve expanding on an initial idea, continuing a work already begun, or revising a draft.<\/div>\n

What Creadores 2026 includes:<\/b><\/div>\n

Who can participate<\/u>:<\/b> Playwrights who write in Spanish, Valencian, or English.<\/div>\n
A basic level of Spanish will be required for communication.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Registration process: If you wish to participate, send a CV + your own (anonymous) play + a cover letter (optional) to creadoresvalencia@gmail.com<\/a> before May 14th. Selected participants will be notified on May 23rd.<\/b><\/div>\n
To ensure the fairest and most careful process possible, the play must be submitted without the author’s name appearing on any page. We will collect all submissions anonymously and send them to a playwright (to be confirmed), who will make an initial selection based only on the quality of the proposals.<\/div>\n
In a second phase, Creadores team will review the selected projects along with the CVs to make the final selection.<\/div>\n
This system allows us to maintain the criteria that have defined our residencies from the beginning: promoting gender parity and fostering encounters between playwrights of diverse backgrounds, both professional and emerging.<\/div>\n

LA SURERA is a territorial innovation project carried out by a group of people who have committed to developing their life projects in the region and to participating in collaborative and cooperative processes.<\/div>\n

NOTE: The food is mainly vegan, but vegetarian and omnivorous options are also available. Rooms are shared. Shared rooms.<\/div>\n
